Herbed Dinner Rolls


Herbed Dinner Rolls


1 cup warm water
2 tablespoons butter
1 egg
¼ cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon basil
½ teaspoon thyme
½ teaspoon oregano
½ teaspoon rosemary
3 ¼ cups flour
2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast


In bread machine, place water, butter, egg, sugar, salt, seasonings, flour and yeast in order.  (For the seasonings I use the small leaf like looking seasonings, not the powdered stuff)  Select dough setting, when cycle is complete, turn dough onto a lightly floured surface.  Divide into 16 portions; shape into balls.  Place 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets.  Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 30 minutes.  Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.  Brush with butter.  Can sprinkle with pretzel salt.
